Technology Day at Volkswagen Shanghai

As part of the VW-Shanghai sales activities, a technology day was held in China at the end of March 2018.
The event focused on the latest developments and technologies in the area of surface coatings and wastewater treatment. Increasingly stringent environmental regulations in China are forcing automotive companies, as well as their suppliers, to meet increasingly stringent standards in order to be able to dispose of their wastewater in accordance with the law.

In particular, corrosion protection coatings used in the automotive industry, such as zinc-nickel, zinc-iron and zinc including their respective special passivation coatings, as well as pop (plating on plastic) decorative surfaces produced by the companies HSO-Solingen and HSO-Chemical-Shanghai were presented. Great value was placed on the possibilities of efficient and environmentally friendly detoxification of the respective rinsing and wastewater involved in the various processes.
Färber & Schmid, one of the leading companies in the field of industrial wastewater treatment, presented its processes, procedures and treatment chemicals in detail.

The authorities in China attach great importance to ensuring that treatment chemicals added to the waste water for detoxification reduce rather than increase the basic environmental impact.
