Waste water production from the surface treatment and electroplating industries must be correctly treated prior to disposal. Detoxified waste water is flocculated as a finishing step. This results in a phase separation with the formation of a clear phase on the one hand and sedimentation of the precipitated reaction products (sludge) on the other.
Powder-form Bentonite and clay flocculants are known to exhibit various advantages during the flocculation process.
With the new ZetaPol 88 series, Färber & Schmid has developed a product range that satisfies the most stringent requirements in terms of quality, performance and optimum pricing. Users have at their disposal a range of products for the most widely differing types of waste water, with which very good phase separation and the formation of a brilliant clear phase, plus best-possible sludge-sedimentation results. The filtration performance of the chamber filter press, often the capacity-restricting stage of an industrial waste water treatment plant, is markedly improved through the use of ZetaPol 88 products to the benefit of the user.
