Färber & Schmid AG has commissioned a new facility for the production of powdered flocculants at its Rafz site. With this latest investment of around €1.5 million, the company is significantly expanding its production capacity, laying the foundation for further growth and the development of new products.

The modern facility is almost fully automated, allowing for precise control of all process steps. From dosing and mixing to filling, the processes are controlled and reproducible. This ensures consistently high product quality, which is crucial in industrial wastewater treatment. The technical design also allows for the flexible production of different formulations, paving the way for customer-specific solutions and innovative product variants.

One focus during the planning phase was on sustainable production design. Energy-optimised drive systems, modern control technology and efficient exhaust air management reduce energy consumption and improve resource utilisation. This is complemented by optimised packaging and logistics processes, which further reduce the ecological footprint. However, sustainability is not only evident in the production process: the products themselves also make an important contribution by enabling the efficient treatment of industrial wastewater, thus supporting the protection of water resources.

The new plant opens up far-reaching prospects for Färber & Schmid.
