On the April 1, 1993 Horst Färber founded the sole proprietorship Faerber surface technology and environmental technology in Affoltern on the Albis.

A year later in the Summer of 1994, Horst Färber and Felix Schmid established today’s Färber und Schmid AG.

Due to an active interest as a result of our products and high demand, led in 1996 to the first relocation to meet the growth to Oetwil on the Limmat near Zurich.

Just five years later, in 2001 while facing a clearly enlarged customer base, this newly developed product niche required basic adaptations in the infrastructure. The relocation resulted in the current Company location in the industrial zone of Dietikon.

Furthermore due to the continuous steady growth and expansion of office space naturally lead to increased production as well as storage capacities in the meantime.

Färber und Schmid AG develops, produces and today sells worldwide special chemicals for the most different areas of application.

Färber und Schmid AG, however, has also developed more and more complex systems of modern and significant systems in sewage and waterpurification.

Therefore we are able to provide our customers one-stop shopping of chemical and technical products as well as matching investment technology.
